A quick visit to Saint Malo included a trip to B-RAKU designed by Brittany-based architect Guillaume Terver for his company LeLad Le Laboratorie en Architecture & Design. A hybrid of Japanese and Breton design, the interior features local Breton materials such as blocks of granite and exposed 'Earthen' walls alongside washi paper joinery details and oak shelving.

Also referred to as GALERIE BREIZH CAFÉ B-RAKU resides next door to Le Comptoir Breizh Café part of a collated Breton-cum-Japanese food/art/restaurant hub founded by Bertrand Larcher. The Breizh Cafe can also be found in Lyon, Paris, Bordeaux and Japan. Other Saint Malo gems from this family include Le Salon De Thé: La Maison Du Sarrasin, L’atelier De La Crêpe and the exquisitely design Hotel Otonali.
